The Woman Behind The Words

I’m Nau

I’m a wife, daughter, sister, and a woman who has spent a lot of time learning through life experience.

I’ve always been someone who thinks deeply about the things that happen in my life.

The people I meet, the relationships I build and the moments that change the way I see things.

My personality is a mix of being sentimental and curious, soft hearted but probably more observant than I let on.

I care about the things we don’t always say, and the stories behind who people become.

What I've Come To Understand

That growing up doesn't necessarily mean having everything figured out.

Sometimes it means questioning what you thought you knew.

Changing your perspective, setting boundaries, making mistakes and becoming more comfortable with who you are.

A lot of what I believe now has come from simply living, making choices, getting things wrong, learning from people and seeing certain parts of life differently with time.

No big life lessons. No pretending I have it all worked out. Just an honest reflection of where I am now.

The Culture I Carry

I'm Tongan,

and my culture is a big part of how I understand family, relationships, community and so much more.

It’s in the way I was raised, the values I was taught, the traditions I grew up around, and the parts of home I continue to carry with me.

Growing up, there were certain things within Tongan and Pacific Island culture that were simply considered normal expectations, traditions, ways of thinking and ideas about how life is supposed to look.

As I’ve gotten older, I’ve realised that something being familiar or widely accepted doesn’t necessarily mean it has to remain part of my life forever.

It's okay to outgrow certain expectations while still respecting where you come from.

Some things I hold closely, while others I’ve questioned or chosen to approach differently.

For me, culture isn’t about choosing between where I come from and who I am now.

It’s about understanding both, carrying what matters to me while giving myself permission to grow beyond what no longer does.
